Ways to Help
-

Become a Donor
Being a donor to the Biggest Little Trail Stewardship helps us fund larger projects and create opportunities for us to take on larger scopes of work for specific use cases. If you have questions about being a donor, please contact us via email.
The link below will have the option to donate monthly via Paypal and there are no associated fees.

Memberships
Membership helps the BLTS have a consistent income stream for our day-to-day expenses. This would include insurance, maintenance on our machines, tools and equipment, etc. Every dollar donated goes directly to the pursuit of building, maid planning trails. The link will direct you to the IMBA website to establish membership.

Volunteer
As a 100% volunteer-led organization, we understand our volunteers and contributors are our lifeline to future success. We appreciate all forms of help from trail work to donations, and would love to hear what special skills you have that could help drive our organization forward.
Post expectations of work, time working
Generally 3 to 4 hours as our announcement will describe. If needed, feel free to leave early or come late. If you do, please get with a crew leader to ensure you get signed in and your hours counted!
How to dress, what to bring
Watch the weather and dress in layers, and always bring a waterproof jacket just in case. Consider wearing clothing you are comfortable getting dirty and dusty. BLTS strives to use the US Forest Service Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Standards on all trail days no matter the land manager jurisdiction. Minimum PPE includes: sturdy foot wear, long pants, long sleeve shirt, hardhat or bicycle helmet, work gloves and eye protection.
Bring plenty of water, snacks or a lunch, and anything medical you may need (think Epipen, etc.) and be sure to share that info with a crew leader.
Explanation of land manager partnerships
The BLTS operates under volunteer service agreements with the US Forest Service, City of Reno, and Washoe County Parks. This means all trail day rules, trail signage, trail builds, and alignments are approved by them prior to our ability to operate. We have over 15 years of successful partnerships with each land manager.
How to schedule a private dig day
