Projects
Belli Ranch Trails Project
This trail project, in partnership with the US Forest Service and Sierra Trail Works, will establish multiple miles of connection between future and ongoing housing developments in Verdi, to the Tom Cooke Trail, and to serve as a section of the Sierra Front connection that will connect the Mt. Rose trail network area to Truckee via singletrack and dirt roads.
Sierra Vista Bike Park
Since 2019 when the City of Reno partnered with the Biggest Little Trail Stewardship to utilize the area utilized as a municipal golf course, we have installed approximately 5 miles of purpose-built mountain bike specific trails including an area dubbed “High Fives”, funded by and named after High Fives Foundation, for the trails built specifically for adaptive mountain bikes for riders who may not be able to utilize a normal two-wheeled bicycle.
NE Peavine Trails Project
The scope of this project is to conduct trail planning activities including required NEPA studies using private contractors with the objective to obtain categorical exclusion approval from the US Forest Service for 12.7 miles of new sustainable non-motorized multi-use single track recreational trails on the northeast side of Peavine Mountain.
Tamarack Lake Trail Extension Planning
Obtain approval of a 6 to 7.5 mile extension of Tamarack Lake Trail connecting Reno/Truckee Meadows Trails with the Tahoe Basin Trails by a quality sustainable multi-use non-motorized singletrack track trail open to mountain bike use.
